Syracuse University Professor Joins CASA III
 

Dr. ElouafiDr. Amy Elouafi, an assistant professor of history, gender studies, and Middle East studies at the Syracuse University, has begun advanced Arabic studies in the Center for Arabic Study Abroad’s CASA III program. Elouafi was educated at the University of Michigan (B.A. 1999) and the University of California - Santa Cruz (M.A. 2002). In 2007 she was awarded a Ph.D. degree from the University of California - Berkeley for her dissertation on “Being Ottoman: family and the politics of modernity in the province of Tunisia.” A warm welcome to Dr. Elouafi.
